I never stay in hostels, I’m just not that kind of person. I came to La Chimba with some friends and I had a pretty nice experience. Yes, the side of the bed might have not been the cleanest, but for the price per night and the spaces you have access to in the hostel I think it’s worth it. I stayed in an all-girls room and slept great. Of course when you know you’ll be sharing spaces with other people you have to come prepared (earplugs, eye masks etc.). If you do so, you’ll have no issues. I highly recommend it

Great staff, friendlich and helpful, lots of activities offered. The beds in the "luxury" women's room lacked privacy (curtains) and the small ventilators were annoying (loud) if someone used one the whole night. The bathrooms were clean but sometimes took forever for warm water to come. But for the price it was ok.

One star is for the employees and front desk. Other than that, this is the worst hostel I have been in South America so far. Smelly rooms, dirty bed sheets, no pillow cover and blanket that hasn’t been washed in months. Common areas also kind of smells. Its also in a shady neighborhood I felt. I wouldn’t recommend for someone looking for a safe or clean stay. There are plenty options for the same price in better neighborhoods.

This hostel was amazing. Great vibes, location, and facility! I can’t recommend it enough. I met lots of great friends through the social nature of the hostel.
