We had a lovely night here, listening to good music while having a delicious dinner and really nice drinks. Food and drinks can be on the pricey end, but the quality of both was outstanding. It was refreshing to have japanese inspired food, because there's very few places in Rome that aren't italian restaurants. The Salmon Lover Roll, Truffle Roll and Yakimeshi Gamberi were amazing. The Tataki di Tonno was ok, felt like it was missing something. The acoustic was good, ambience is intimate and most of the audience was there for the show (have been to other jazz clubs were people won't stop chatting). Totally recommended!
We were looking for a place we could enjoy live music and dinner. This came highly recommended so we reserved 2 spots (60€) which buys the equivalent of 1 dinner portion of sushi and 2 glasses of house wine. The sushi quality was excellent, but we had to buy another order (another 20€) to have enough for 2 people. The singer/guitar duo performing were quite nice. We had our own table in the cramped feeling upstairs, so we weren't "sharing with strangers" as others have complained about. Our waiter was good enough though we really didn't make many demands on him. One glaring problem is that there's nothing to baffle the noise of the bathroom hand driers which can really put a hurt on a musical experience. As a side note, the clientel (I really couldn't figure out their target audience) seemed stiff. At the end of a really nice guitar solo, I would find myself the only person clapping. What a bunch of stiffs! Overall not bad, but pricey for what you get.
What a fun experience! Food was reasonably priced and good. Whiskey/single malt list was a little pricey but extensive enough to meet anyone’s needs. Service was slow but good…just pay attention! Music was great!
This is the place to see a jazz performance in Rome!! All staff members and patrons have been super friendly. From who I believe is the manager who is Persian, He was such a wholesome person and he gave wonderful hospitality to myself, including other patrons as well. This place is unforgettable. I hope to stop by if I ever visit rome again!
I don’t recommend this place at all. The drinks are terrible, seating cramped, and the female staff member with dark hair who was supposed to be showing people to their table was incredibly rude and disrespectful. Overpriced rubbish. (Reference photos and videos, these show my legs, in the red, completely cramped between two people and how the microphone stand is connected to the table base, showing we couldn’t leave without interrupting the show.) We had reserved seats online three weeks in advance, specifically choosing a table towards the back since the show runs from 9:30pm–12am and we knew we might want to leave early without disturbing anyone. When we arrived, a dark-haired lady at the door told us to wait and that she would take us upstairs when our table was ready. So we sat down right next to her… and waited. And waited. After 30 minutes (it was now 10pm, well past the show start time), nothing had happened. We eventually asked her if we should be upstairs, and she lazily said “oh yeah sure”, like she’d completely forgotten about us. She then took us upstairs, but instead of our reserved table, she brought us right to the very front, directly in front of the band, and pointed to a sofa that was already completely full. There were already five people crammed onto it, and they had to awkwardly squeeze together to make space for us. This seating was completely unacceptable. We were placed so close to the band that it was physically impossible to leave without interrupting the performance. The table was touching to the singer’s microphone stand, meaning if we wanted to leave, we’d have to interrupt the singer mid-set. It was incredibly uncomfortable and honestly ridiculous, especially considering we had booked in advance for a completely different seating area and been taken up late. To make matters worse, the drinks were awful. I ordered a pineapple rum cocktail, and it was basically straight rum, completely undrinkable. My partner, who loves rum, tried it and even he couldn’t drink it. It was genuinely one of the worst drinks I’ve ever had and it was insanely marked up. We felt so uncomfortable that we eventually just decided to leave, even though it meant interrupting the performance, which was as awkward as you can imagine. When we went downstairs to pay, we had to deal with the same female staff member who had forgotten about us earlier. She was standing there texting on WhatsApp while we were waiting to pay and told us “yeah, one minute,” continuing to text for another minute before even acknowledging us. Then, to top it all off, she tried to charge us for three drinks when we had only ordered two (which we didn’t even drink because they were so bad). The bill came to €54, which is outrageous given the experience: not being sat where we booked, being taken into the experience 30 minutes late (only because we asked!), and the rude attitude of the lady at the door. At that point, we were so uncomfortable and stressed that we didn’t even argue, despite wanting to discuss this with the manager, we just paid and left. But honestly, between being forgotten, seated incorrectly, crammed into an unsuitable space, served terrible drinks, and then overcharged, the whole experience was a complete mess. I would not recommend this place at all.
