I went there for dinner and the place was pretty full (we had a reservation, I recommend doing the same). We were sat quickly and the service was very good. I had the calamari as an appetiser and it was the perfect start to my meal. As the main I ate the gnoccetini with red pesto and this was the best thing I ate there. I recommend trying it for yourself ! They also make a good amount of drinks.
Went there for the roof top view however the Irish weather was not on our side. However, great place. The food and drinks were great, had the buffalo chicken burger. Great taste, just the right amount of kick to it. The added green were nice for good conscience.
Very nice food. Had brunch. It was very quiet when we arrived... 10.15. Plenty of seating available to was sat on a table for 2. Another couple came in amd were seated DIRECTLY next to each which we all found slightly awkward despite there being 12 other table for 2s along. But staff were nice enough and the food was good.
I left hungry and feeling completely ripped off. I was really looking forward to dining at Sophie’s, having heard it was a classy place. From an interior and location point of view, it didn’t disappoint, the space is beautiful and the views are lovely. Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the seafood linguine, which cost €30, and the portion size was shockingly small, genuinely child-sized. The sauce tasted like it came straight from a jar. For the price, it was unacceptable and left me feeling short-changed. Dessert was no better. The chocolate mousse was far from a mousse texture; the taste and consistency were so unpleasant that I couldn’t finish it after a few mouthfuls. To make matters worse, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. I had to ask staff if the heating could be turned on, despite wearing long sleeves, and I noticed several other people keeping their jackets on indoors. Overall, while the setting is attractive, the food and comfort level do not justify the prices. I wouldn’t recommend dining here, unfortunately.
I’ve been here for birthday dinners throughout the years but never really enjoyed the food. This time was different. We really enjoyed our mains: the fish and the ravioli. Cocktails are decent… the atmosphere and views just make everything 10 times better. Service is excellent. I will be coming back for sunset drinks and pizza!
